Max Rasquinha is the executive director for Solstice Senior Living at Grapevine. He has spent the past 14 years in the senior living industry holding various positions, including dining director and regional director.
Prior to working in senior living, Max was involved in the hospitality industry for 17 years, working for various restaurant groups such as Landry’s, Carlson and Pappas restaurants.
Max grew up in Houston and graduated from the University of Houston with a business degree. He has a 15-year-old son in high school and enjoys spending as much time with him as possible. Some of his interests include watching professional sports, dining out, going on cruises and live music.
Max is looking forward to leading the team at Solstice at Grapevine and providing an exceptional resident experience for the community.
Director of Sales and Marketing
Mark Williams is the director of Sales and Marketing for Solstice Senior Living at Grapevine. Prior to joining the team, Mark worked for an independent living community as a sales leader and for a senior placement agency educating and guiding seniors and their families.
Mark also has experience in mortgage banking and finance working in roles ranging from loan officer to vice president of Operations.
In his free time, Mark enjoys spending time with his family, going to movies, grilling outdoors, making house improvements and having the occasional Netflix binge.
Mark has been married to his wife, Lori, for 30 years. They have two kids and two dogs – a Yorkie and a rescue.
Kristyn A. Smith
Vibrant Life® Director
Kristyn Smith is the Vibrant Life® director at Solstice Senior Living at Grapevine. An Arkansas native, Kristyn is the oldest and only girl of five children and studied early childhood education at The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. As the Vibrant Life® director, Kristyn brings an abundance of energy, creativity and dedication to her work. In her spare time, she loves to dance and even competed in dance and baton twirling for 11 years. She won Arkansas State Twirler two of those years.
Culinary Services Director
Chef Amber Kohle is the culinary services director at Solstice Senior Living at Grapevine. Winner of “Cutthroat Kitchen,” Amber has been cooking since the age of 3. As she grew up on a family farm, Amber’s passion for cooking comes from the root values she experienced as a youth. From there, she traveled up the East Coast, honing her skills in French, Moroccan, Latin and Caribbean-inspired cuisines. At just 18 years old, Chef Amber opened Tropical Flame Catering, taking her passion for people and food and creating a haven for cost-efficient gourmet cuisine. She has worked with seniors for the last six years with a backing in both resort and hospitality/health care dining.
